   Summerlin, developed by the Howard Hughes Corporation, is the nation's best-selling master-planned community. Summerlin is unfolding in villages, each centered around its own major park, golf course or major amenity. Currently, there are 17 villages in various stages of development. Eventually, the community will be home to 30 villages, each featuring dozens of thoughtfully planned neighborhoods with a unique selection of homes, town homes, condominiums and apartments.

• Price range: Prices vary greatly in Summerlin. Condominiums start in the low $100,000s, and most tract homes sell for between $150,000 and $400,000. There are also several guard-gated, golf-course neighborhoods and custom homes in the $300,000 to $1 million range.
• Description of typical home: Homes in Summerlin range from apartments to multimillion-dollar mansions. Most houses are pastel stucco with tile roofs, but each village has its own style, from villas and Hacienda designs to two-story homes and Mission styles.
• Lifestyle: Summerlin residents enjoy many amenities, including 18 major parks and 80 neighborhood parks; eight golf courses and 12 lighted tennis courts; several lighted softball, baseball and soccer fields; and several public swimming pools. The area is near shopping, schools, dining and entertainment.
