Stallion Mountain is located near Sam's Town Hotel and Casino, just off Flamingo past Boulder Highway. The community is home to the Stallion Mountain Country Club, whose challenging golf course features tiered fairways and greens, water holes and strategically placed bunkers.
Originally named Sunrise Country Club, the facility was sold in 1997 to developer Bill Walters, who renamed the club and redesigned it with an equestrian theme. At one time, Stallion Mountain Country Club comprised three 18-hole courses: Secretariat, Man O'War and Citation. Financial problems forced Walters to close two of the courses in 2004, and the land is now under development as a residential area.

Because of its former incarnation as a 54-hole golf course, this growing development offers plenty of scenic landscaping. Stallion Mountain is a relatively new community, and all homes were constructed in 2000 or later. Many lots are still under development.

Community

   There are several neighborhoods at Stallion Mountain, many of which reflect the community's golf-course roots. Pulte, the largest builder, currently offers homes in three neighborhoods: The Fairways, The Links and The Greens.
   Most homes in The Fairways are located along the golf course, although some houses are off course. Homes range from 1,531 to 2,300 square feet.
   Homes in The Links are bit smaller – ranging from 1,190 to 1,619 square feet – but this is the only community to offers residents their own common-area facilities. Amenities include pool, spa, fitness facility and clubhouse.
   The Greens has the largest homes in Stallion Mountain, ranging from 2,476 to 2,881 square feet.
   Condominium living is also available at Black Horse, which offers three single-story floor plans ranging from 935 to 1,196 square feet. Black Horse also features gated entry, landscaping, pool, fountain, spa and clubhouse facilities.

Amenities

Stallion Mountain residents enjoy a variety of amenities, including golf at the Stallion Mountain Country Club. Depending on the neighborhood, other amenities can include swimming, fitness facilities and outdoor play areas.
Stallion Mountain is close to shops, restaurants and casinos. Interstate 515 and U.S. Highway 93/95 provide easy access to other locations in the Las Vegas valley.
