Mountain's Edge

Welcome to Mountain's Edge!

Mountain's Edge touts itself as "The New Southwest," and this new master-planned community certainly lives up to its name. Much of the land's desert setting has been preserved, offering a scenic backdrop to the burgeoning neighborhood.
The main entrance to Mountain's Edge is marked by Exploration Peak, which has been repopulated with nearly 10,000 native plants. At the mountain's base, Exploration Park will offer residents a unique western-themed park. Eventually, Exploration Park will feature Native American play structures, an Old West town, an archeological dig area and other attractions. Other parks will offer dozens of recreational activities, including ballfields, tennis courts and play areas.
The 3,000-acre property is being developed by Focus Property Group. More than 12,000 residences are planned for Mountain's Edge, and when buildout is complete in 2010, as many as 32,500 people could live in the community.
The Home Search Café, at Blue Diamond and Buffalo, offers information about the development along with displays depicting the region's history, including railroads, mining, native plants and animals, and water conservation.
Mountain's Edge is bordered by Blue Diamond to the north, Starr Avenue to the south, Rainbow to the east and Fort Apache to the west. Interstate 15 and the I-215 Beltway provide access to all areas of the Las Vegas valley.
