Real Estate & Homes in Nevada - Nevada
Nevada

Welcome to the Silver State! Nevada is home to a diverse climate and culture. The state capital, Carson City, lies in the northern part of the state, a mountainous area home to Reno and Lake Tahoe. The southern part of the state is more arid, due to its proximity to the Mojave Desert. Southern Nevada — which is home to Las Vegas, Lake Mead and Hoover Dam — is also more populous. Southern Nevada is one of the fastest-growing areas in the United States. Las Vegas has long been one of the nation's top tourist destinations, and it's the largest city in Nevada. When combined with the neighboring cities of North Las Vegas and Henderson, the Las Vegas valley is home to nearly 2 million people. The Las Vegas valley offers something for everyone. Recreational activities — ranging from snow- and water-skiing to boating, hiking and golf — are readily available. Jobs are varied and plentiful, particularly in the service, construction and hospitality industries. Because tourism amounts to nearly one-third of the state's annual tax revenue, residents pay no personal income tax. Taxes in other Nevada cities are minimal as well. Las Vegas offers a wide variety of affordable housing and an equally diverse makeup of people, geography, culture and climate. New residents are attracted by the available housing choices, from sprawling ranches to sophisticated Spanish-style mansions and high-rise condos. Home prices range from $120,000 in modest communities to more than $10 million in luxurious, upscale subdivisions.
Many residents choose to live in master-planned communities, which are plentiful in Southern Nevada. From Summerlin and Aliante in the north to Green Valley and Southern Highlands in the south, there's a community to fit your needs.
